I went shopping for some company
I came home with a lover for me
I put him in a box and take him out when I need
And so now I’ll never be lonely
I emptied out the cupboards for something to eat
I filled up a plate and took a seat
I captured a photograph of it presented neatly
And the forgot that I was hungry
I went outside for some fresh air
I filled up a jar that’s crystal clear
I collect them on a shelf with all things dear
And so now I have nothing to fear
I opened a book for something to read
I drowned myself in stories of fantasy
I cried whenever a character would bleed
And now I don’t care for what is real
I came home with a lover for me
I put him in a box and take him out when I need
And so now I’ll never be lonely
I emptied out the cupboards for something to eat
I filled up a plate and took a seat
I captured a photograph of it presented neatly
And the forgot that I was hungry
I went outside for some fresh air
I filled up a jar that’s crystal clear

And so now I have nothing to fear
